So with Matt being out of town and me having no internet, these past two weeks have been busy ones for me (just kidding! so much free time!). So of course, I have to come up with quick fixes around the house.
First things first, a peephole on the front door.
For some reason, none of the houses we looked at up here had peepholes (including the house we bought). I didn’t really notice until my friend Stephanie told me she wanted one on her door. So for Christmas, I installed a peephole for her! Then, I realized I wanted one for my own, so a quick trip to the home depot and 10 minutes with my drill and I was done!
I also, took 5 minutes out of my not-so-busy schedule to install a doorstop on our garage door.
All of the garage doors here are the kind required by fire code to swing themselves closed. It’s a pain when you’re trying to carry groceries in the house, or trying to sit on the steps to put shoes on (my real tragedy). So, stealing from Jason & Erin’s house, I got a door stop!
Before, we were having to use a fire extinguisher to prop the door open. Now we can just put down a doorstop! It’s
sad amazing how much this excites me. And the number one thing to remember when doing any home improvement projects is safety!Always use eye protection, people.
