My Week Back South | Pt. 1: South Carolina

July 11, 2014

I know, I know! I’m a bit delayed. I’ve been back from 10 days spent in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia for almost a week now and I bet most of you didn’t even know I was down there!

I flew down Thursday June 26th for a long weekend, that I ended up extending for an extra week (what’s the point of having vacation if you don’t use it!)

The purpose for my trip was to watch my friends Ben & Tara get married, but I used it as a chance to see some of my favorite things that I’ve missed since being in Alaska!

I got to eat at Waffle House with my dad (it was my choice! and a delicious one at that!

IMG_7781I got to shop with my mom at our fave boutique in downtown Mt. Holly, Derr’s Boutique. As usual, I got lots of cute stuff that I may or may not have needed.

My mom and I headed into Greenville, SC Saturday morning to see downtown, and we got a chance to go to Anthropologie, The Chocolate Moose, and hit up the Saturday Farmer’s Market.

Then it was time to meet up with Megan & head to Donalds/Abbeville to see our adorable friends Ben & Tara get married, and to see a lot of the people I miss!

The church that they got married was built in 1852 and is even on the national historic registry!

The reception was in downtown Abbeville at the Livery Stables. It was a perfect reception filled with delicious boiled peanuts, fried chicken, and the best cocktails to sip on!

We finished off a great night by heading back to Greenville to meet up with my friend Nick and his new girlfriend Heidi for a nightcap at Sip. (I have really missed outdoor and rooftop bars!)

It was so amazing to be back for a weekend in Greenville and to get to see some people that I love and miss dearly! I finished off the weekend by meeting up with Megan, Taylor, Brian, Trey, and Sarah at Tupelo Honey for mimosas and brunch. Yum!
